USES OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES
USES OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES
The following are some of the uses of electromagnetic waves
1. Radio waves are used in radio and T.V. communication systems.
2. Microwaves are used in microwave oven.
3. Infrared radiations are used
(a) in revealing the secret writings on the ancient walls
(b) in green houses to keep
the plants warm
(c) in warfare, for looking through haze, fog
or mist as these radiations can pass through them.
4. Ultraviolet radiations are used in the detection of invisible writing, forged documents, finger prints in forensic
laboratory and to preserve the food stuffs.

Meet The Man Behind PM Modi's Decision To Demonetize Rs.1000 And Rs.500 Notes
The sudden announcement of the demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes by Prime Minister Narender Modi has caused an uproar all over the country. The idea of this drastic change came from Anil Bokil of Arthkranti, a Pune based financial think tank.
ANIL BOKIL
Bokil reportedly met PM Modi a few months back to give a presentation on financial reforms and was given a mere 9 minutes to put forward his take on the issue. He suggested some key measures to control the flow of black money, the main one being a ban on big currency notes. Apparently, his arguments were quite intriguing to PM Modi and he kept discussing the matter for almost two hours.
The main suggestions by Bokil were :
1. The collection of money under 56 different taxes should be stopped except for import duty.

Why RBI is issuing ₹2000 Rupees Notes ?? Read here 👇
No, New Rs. 2000 Note Will Not Have a 'Nano GPS Chip'
IT WAS A RUMOUR..... sorry
*why RBI is issuing ₹2000 Rupees Notes *
The Rs 2000 currency is designed keeping in mind to eradicate the black money issues using state of the art indigenous nano technology, every Rs. 2000 currency note is embedded with a *NGC (Nano GPS Chip)*
*How the embeded NGC Technology Works?*
The unique feature of the NGC is it dosent need any power source. It only acts as a signal reflector. When a Satellite sends a signal requesting location the NGC reflects back the signal from the location, giving precise location coordinates, and the serial number of the currency back to the satellite, this way every NGC embedded currency can be easily tracked & located even if it is kept 120 meters below ground level. The NGC cant be tampered with or removed without damaging the currency note
*How will this help eradicate black money menace?*
Since every NGC embeded currency can be tracked. The satellite can identify the exact amount of money stored at a certain location. If a relatively high concentration of currency is found a certain location for a longer period of time at suspicious locations other than banks & other financial institutions. The information will be passed on to the Income Tax Department for further investigation
*Just a beginning of the end of black money in India*

Our units of measurement are finally about to get an upgrade... THE NEW METRIC SYSTEM
Our units of measurement are finally about to get an upgrade
The new metric system
By the end of 2018, a kilogram will no longer exist as we know it, with our standard units of measurement finally scheduled to get a much-needed upgrade for the first time in more than 50 years.
Under the new proposal, all seven basic units of measurement - including the second, the kilogram, and the metre - will be defined by constant properties of nature, such as the speed of light, rather than by a value thought up by a bunch of scientists. And it's going to make the world a whole lot more accurate.

What are Viruses ???
Viruses term is a latin word which means venom or poison.
Viruses are minute microorganisms much smaller than bacteria
(size ranges from 0.015 – 0.2 micron) and can be seen only with
the help of an electron microscope.
M.W. Beijerinck (1898) demonstrated that the extract of infected
plants of tobacco causes infection in healthy plants and called
the fluid as contagium vivum fluidum.
W.M. Stanley (1935) showed that viruses could be crystallised and crystals consist of proteins.
Characteristics of Viruses
• They are not free living.
• They grow and multiply only inside other living cells.

How to read a book without opening it...
Book lovers :- Scientists have devised a way to read without cracking a volume’s spine or risking paper cuts (and no, we’re not talking about e-books).
The new method uses terahertz radiation — light with wavelengths that are between microwave and infrared waves — to view the text of a closed book.
The technique is not meant for your average bookworm, but for reading rare books that are too fragile to open.

Three fundamental modes of heat transfer
HEAT TRANSFER is the exchange of thermal energy between physical systems. The rate o of heat transfer is dependent on the temperatures of the systems and the properties of the intervening medium through which the heat is transferred.
The three fundamental modes of heat transfer are CONDUCTION, CONVECTION & RADIATION.
✔Thermal conduction
Thermal conduction is the transfer of heat (internal energy ) by microscopic collisions of particles and movement of electrons within a body. The microscopically colliding objects, that include molecules, atoms, and electrons, transfer disorganized microscopic kinetic and potential energy, jointly known as internal energy. Conduction takes place in all phases of matter, such as solids, liquids, gases and plasmas. The rate at which energy is conducted as heat between two bodies is a function of the temperature difference (temperature gradient ) between the two bodies and the properties of the conductive medium through which the heat is transferred. Thermal conduction was originally called diffusion.

10 Things That Have a Damaging Effect on the Brain
1. Not getting enough sleep
This phenomenon, familiar to anyone, is becoming a global problem. According to the WHO, over the past 100 years, people began to sleep an average of 20% less. Severe lack of sleep creates the risk thatdifferent parts of the brain move into a phase of slow wave sleep in the state of wakefulness. As a result, a person can’t concentrate and his fine motor skills deteriorate. The regular lack of sleep leads to brain cell death.
2. Lack of breakfast
Skipping the morning meal affects the performance and energy of the person during the day. It seems obvious, but the point here is not so much the consumption of energy necessary for the body, but the fact that lack of breakfast lowers the level of sugar in the blood. This in turn reduces and hinders the flow of nutrients to the brain.
3. Sugar
3. Sugar
The preceding paragraph explains why it is recommended to eat sweets, especially dark chocolate, to have a good brain performance. However, excessive amounts of sugar cause problems with the assimilation of protein and nutrients. It leads to the same result as the low level of blood sugar: the brain does not receive enough nutrients.
